Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a Fulbright exchange activity established in 1978 in honor of the late Senator and Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey. Program brings young and mid-career professionals from designated countries to the United States for a year of non-degree graduate-level study, leadership development, and professional collaboration with U.S. counterparts. Since 1978, more than 4,600 Fellows have participated in the program from 157 countries.

Turkey is one of the participating countries and 89 Fellows from Turkey have participated in Humphrey Fellowship Program, since 1979. Program is facilitated by the Turkish Fulbright Commission in Ankara and the Institute of International Education in Washington, DC. Humphrey Alumni Association was established in 1995 by a group of alumni in Turkey who have participated in Humphrey Program.
