Ayşegül ÇERÇİ earned her BS degree in Business Administration at Middle East Technical University in Ankara and MSc. Degree in Tourism Management at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. She was awarded with Dutch Government Scholarships (NFP) for an executive diploma program in Industrial Project Cycle Management at Maastricht School of Management (MSM) in 1992. She started her career as a financial analyst at Development Bank of Turkey (Türkiye Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş.) in 1988 and served in different departments, industrial project appraisal, treasury department and business development and planning department since then. She currently works as a manager in Business Development and Planning department, responsible of wholesale(apex) lending and international technical assistance programs. Extensively trained on grants/programs of EU and undertakes assignments in EU funded SME financing projects. She is a Certified Public Accountant (Turkish acronym is SMMM) and holds Capital Markets Activities Advanced Level Licenses, Credit Rating Specialist License and Corporate Governance Rating License. She completed her humphrey year in Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 2004-2005 in the field of development finance and banking. Aside from numerous professional development activities she has done Professional Affiliation component of the program in a leading investment bank, Merrill Lynch and a local development bank, New Jersey Community Capital in 2005. She is the President of Executive Board of the Humphrey Alumi Association since November 2014. |
